Cliché frosted leaf shot

Yeah, I know it is a cliché "frosted leaf on the ground"-shot, but I like the colours.

Taken with the smc Pentax-M 100m F2.8 on the K10D.

I had this lens for years, but stupidly sold it, so now I have bought a new one - used of course, but in fine nick.

Judging by the guys on the building in shot 3, they are not bothered by workplace safety regulations in Saigon, are they?

The 100 f/2.8 is one of my favourite lenses. This was taken with it today.

I love the M 50/1.7; the bokeh is something to die for. The colors are amazing. Wide open, it is still sharp. How can you go wrong?

M 50/1.7, wide open.

Guys & gals, sorry I haven't had time to comment and contribute lately!

Much like the DA 15ltd mind control thread, sometime after this thread reaches 2000 posts, I'm going to go through and pick out my top-25 favorite images from it (none mine,) re-link them in a post and give some commentary on why I like them so much.

It will be hard to pick the top 25, but looking back through this thread, I'm already looking forward to it. Get your shots in!
Don't know how I missed this

Guess I need to dust off the o'le M 85mm and M 50mm F/1.7, hide the F 28mm, K50mm F/1.2, and F 135mm, and take some snapshots!

I need to get my two M lenses (28 and 135) shipped but I've been going biking/walking a lot and have some outstanding locations picked out. Now I just need to get back in the evening when I have my camera.

K200 and a M f1.7

First sorry if this has been asked before but I can't search just the M club thread. I did a few searches and didn't find what I was looking for.

I have a k200 and am looking a few M mounts f/1.7 at around $50 is this too much? Also when I check some compatibility checks it seems that M mounts don't always like the k200 any insight?

"Some recent bodies cannot use M (and K) lenses or only with some limitations. An example are the *ist D and K (digital) series"

from here PentaxForums.com - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Series Explanation

Thanks for any help.

@ Karen - $50 is on the high end for an M 50mm f/1.7, but it depends on where you're buying.

M lenses will work on the k200d but you will have to use stop down metering with the depth of field preview button or green button metering to judge your exposure. The light readings will be less accurate than with an A series or other electronically coupled lens. In the camera menu there is an option for "release shutter with manual aperture lens" or something along those lines that has to be enabled for the camera to work with manual lenses.

I use an M50mm f/1.7 with my K10d and it works quite well, though the light meter consistently reads high or low depending on the aperture the lens is set to. I paid $20 for a lens and camera body together that needed a very minor repair and new batteries.

In under the wire!

Actually I'm doing the same thing in the DA 15ltd Mind Control thread for the first 1000 posts, and I'm finding it really hard to pare my faves down to 25.
