The thread is for lenses in the SMC Pentax-M serie, those you find here under "M serie primes" and "M serie zooms": Pentax Reviews - Pentax Lens Reviews & Pentax Lens Database

There is for example a Vivitar club.

Well, I took a shot at ISO 1600 with my K200D. I'm pleased.

It's a vivitar PK135mm for Pentax. Not sure what else there is.
Really great image! Probably should have been posted here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/31353-off-brand-club.html - check it out, I post images from my non Pentax brand lenses there... Rick

Looking for pictures shot with the SMC Pentax-M 20mm f4, both on film and digital. Curious about this lens, widest offer in the M serie.

Here's one with my pristine eBay M501.7 (couldn't find my old one, and got impatient...), @ f2.8, of the same bottle in my last post. I just ordered lens caps and a hood for this great lens.

Great shot Eddie,

Nice subdued light really shows off the colour palette of the M 50/1.4 at its best.

I have this lens, but don't use it much. Found it fantastic on 35mm, but only very average on crop-sensor digital.

I'll see if I can dig out a few more images than these test shots:

Is that because of the smaller viewing angle or because it does not like sensors?

Thanks!
It is for film I might want it, for my MX and ME Super. It's odd that the M serie never had a 24mm. The 20mm didn't do very well (and not terribly bad either) in the reviews of its day as I recall it, on digital I've heard people who don't like it and who love it. But it offers a really small package on a MX or ME Super since it is more or less a pancake. I've got the 24-35mm M zoom, but it isn't really pocketable. Was hoping for some feedback from this thread, especially if you shot film with it.

I shot one or two frames on film with a borrowed M 20mm f/4 at one of the Toronto Pentaxforums.com meets. This sample was probably f/4 or f/5.6.

This should be pretty close to the entire frame:

I believe that this is the other frame I shot with the M 20mm f/4 on my film KX:

The smaller viewing angle I think. Sharpness etc is pretty good, but just not special anymore on the K10.

Absolutely loved it on my LX and ME Super though. Small, great FOV, and decent IQ (if a bit soft in the corners).

I just got this screw-on Mennon lens hood and Promaster cap for my M lenses. This type of cap fits fairly secure with the hood.
