Thanks, that's Henry the Dog! Do you hail from the VA side of DC?

Congrats on your latest M, Rick. I really love the colors/rendering & just plain sharpness of the 75-150. I see it also passed your chainpost PF test, too . I was shooting objects against a bright sky, even almost into the sun a few times, and couldn't coax much PF from it either. I know you'll be putting it to the test - enjoy!
I'm surprised with the lens, the zoom from 75-150 is only 1 1/2 inches, focusing is nicely dampened. typical M. Since I used a 150mm as a walk around lens for a while, this just feels like it can capture any scene and the 75 is too wide Seriously, the 75-150 is a very sharp lens wide open, colors rich and contrast gentle.

It's amazing how well those M series lenses hold up. My two are still going strong and do surprisingly well on digital sensor. I do have to be careful about the dreaded purple fringe and sometimes CA but all told, I cannot complain about lenses with a design from the late 1970's on my DSLR. These lenses were designed some 35 years ago! It says something about Asahi Optical, doesn't it.

Nice shots. I particularly like the pathway shot. It makes me want to go for a walk to see what's down there.

Thanks, CR - in fact later today I'll be taking the dogs down that very same pathway . I'm super-pleased with the IQ of that M35-70. It matches up nicely with my M75-150, which is another stellar M-zoom. Yes, Asahi optical knew what they were doing, for sure.

I was raised in and around the VA side of DC, still have a place there. I don't know how long you've been in the Metro area, but I have seen NOVA grow and grow, I can't believe Rosslyn, it's like it's own city now! And the traffic is 10x worse anywhere around the DC metro area. Leesburg, that at one time was considered out there, but today I have many a friends commuting daily into DC from Lessburg and don't think twice about it; I know of a couple more that commute from Fredericksburg VA!!! I do miss the "inside the beltway" lifestyle though...

Nice detail from the M200!! Better than I've ever been able to do.

35 or so years ago I spent 4 good years in Charlottesville. Now I hear people commute from 'ville up 29 to the DC suburbs to work.

My daughter just moved to New York after 3 years living in Dupont Circle, walking daily to DeSalles St.to work. That was a fun time for her. Oh to be young and single.
