Nice detail from the M200!! Better than I've ever been able to do.

35 or so years ago I spent 4 good years in Charlottesville. Now I hear people commute from 'ville up 29 to the DC suburbs to work.

My daughter just moved to New York after 3 years living in Dupont Circle, walking daily to DeSalles St.to work. That was a fun time for her. Oh to be young and single.
The Wash DC metro area is so unique, it's unlike other large cities. There are so many many things free to do, museums, exhibits, festivals, national zoo, etc etc etc., but also an expensive area

There is a lot of variety in this thread and I'll add something that hasn't been done for awhile. These are from my vacation last week in Central Taiwan. I took a lot of great photos with the DA15 but the M28/2.8 was also very busy and the M50/1.7 also took a couple of nice photos.

M28/2.8 - The Songlong Waterfall (Pine Dragon)

M28/2.8 - the upper tier of the Yunlong Waterfall (Cloud Dragon)

M28/2.8 - the middle tier of the Yunlong Waterfall. If you look closely you can see people looking that the upper tier in the top right corner.

M50/1.7 - the lower tier of the Yunlong Waterfall

M50/1.7 - I saw this bridge high up in the mountains. Then I saw a map with Rainbow Waterfall (DA15) on the other side. It was an inevitable hike at that point.

I don't know how long you've been in the Metro area, but I have seen NOVA grow and grow, I can't believe Rosslyn, it's like it's own city now! And the traffic is 10x worse anywhere around the DC metro area. Leesburg, that at one time was considered out there, but today I have many a friends commuting daily into DC from Lessburg and don't think twice about it; I know of a couple more that commute from Fredericksburg VA!!! I do miss the "inside the beltway" lifestyle though...
I moved to NOVA in 1981, and lived in Manassas for 23 years. When we came here (from NC), Manassas was about 25K people and my commute to the Pentagon was about 30 minutes on a bad day. I'm in Gainesville now, and my commute to Alexandria is about an hour, and that is at 5:00am. My, how times have changed.

Yeah, that's it! It seems like anytime I go for a visit to NoVa, no matter if it's 2:00AM or 4:00PM, I have to be prepared for traffic/heartbreak... At one time, traffic studies showed that DC drivers spent more time in their cars stopped, not necessarily in a long commute, just sitting in traffic

Yes sir, indeed, Leesburg in general has grown since we moved here. We even have a big movie house and a lot of new stuff. it's amazing in a way. seeing a small town which was like surrounded with forests and fields before who's now turning into those city like towns.

Just purchased the pentax 80-200 4.5 gave a real dreamy quality to a few randoms in the wood.

Unfortunately, this image looks much less saturated in the forum than it does on my computer.

I like your portraits. I used to have the same problem. You may already do this, but be sure to convert your photos to sRGB space before uploading. If that doesn't do it, then it could have to do with your monitor (wide gamut?), browser, and/or OS color calibration.

Fortunately, this photo shows in my computer. What a stunning photo, not only captured the beauty of the model, but her gesture and character. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it. All of those were taken on the set of a short film. The lady in red is an actress, and this shot was in between takes. I am hoping to get a shot of her while she is in character next.
