Thought I would add some with my nifty fifty. I haven't used it in awhile and now I can't put it down. I love this lens. Pentax M 50mm 1.7

Just relaxing in the grass

I had to use a little noise control on this one

and finally Bubba being his normal bad self

Probably could have brightened it up just a bit but left it a little dark.

The M 50 f/1.7 is a spectacularly good lens.

This one's from the M 85mm f/2, cropped to about 50%.

Great shots from everyone!!

Here is mine:

M50 1.7 + 68mm extension.

M40-80 + 68mm extension.

Man, these are awesome! In fact, I was inspired to find an original Asahi Pentax extension tube set on eBay and order it.

The M85 is a thing of beauty.

I believe he used a jetpack.

A strange lens with a very ingenious mechanical design. I love the way the zoom ring slides without anything obvious turning. Contrast could be better though, the shots need a fair bit of tweaking in post-processing. No problem with sharpness

My Pentax extension tubes arrived (alas, only the manual ones), and I had to run out into the yard to try them on my M50 1.7. Here's all 3 tubes for this tiny Daisy:

It's a great lens and very sharp for a zoom ... really like mine and should use it more often ... J

Sharp it certainly is :

Bokeh could be better though. Pentax should have gone for 8 blade aperture like on the M135. The broken down Smart car shot was with it wide open, this one is with it stopped down a bit :

I haven't been using the M 50mm f1.7 that often lately since I prefer my 28mm and 35mm FL, but I must say that I'm often surprised with how amazing it is!

I think this was taken at f11 or f16, 25 sec. exposure.

Some screen grabs from my most recent film shoot. These were shot on a Canon 60D, using my Pentax M50 f1.4.
