Those are good. I am pleased that you have given the 50/2 a chance to prove itself. I think people underrate this lens because it is a common kit lens.
Thanks. I love the lens. It's got a chunk of chromatic aberration wide open or in the wrong light, but other than that I have no complaints about it at all - and it's a real joy to use. 8)

Excellent. I love the light and shade here, and excellent composition too
Thanks! That's a nice set of shots with your 50/2 - well done.

M-50 1.7, with my K-3. It didn't ask me to designate the focal length, and then put 35mm into the EXIF...

I'm a very new DSLR user, just bought a K-50 three days ago. While it came with 2 new lenses, mostly I've been out using my old M series lenses that I bought back in the 80s for my ME. It's been fun and I've really enjoyed looking through the pictures on this forum.

This is my modest collection of M lenses. The 50mm came with the ME camera and I purchased all the others new "back in the day". Having these old lenses was one of the main reasons I chose a Pentax DSLR.

Here are a few other shots:
28mm/f2.8

50mm/f1.7

135mm/f3.5

200mm/f4

135mm/f3.5

I have a lot to learn and there is a lot to keep track of but overall I'm pleased with how easy it is to use the old lenses.

New snow, +15f, could not resist driving by Rushmore on the way to Custer SD and break out the M 75-150. Glad I did......... gave the photos a warm treatment in PS to counter the icy gray-blue of the scene.

Here's a demonstration of the considerable barrel distortion of the M 28/2.8 (mark II) on film. The first version is corrected in software, the second isn't.

M85 f2. This is a screen grab from a music video, so the model was a moving target / hard to catch in focus at 1/50th of a second per frame...
