I always regarded this 100 M macro as my premium lens. A little cloudiness in the lens glue is not having a noticeable effect.

Nicely done, Arnold. I love my M 100/4 macro, too. Mine is the "Dental" version. It has a few more scales engraved on it.

Thank you Canada_Rockies. Has your glass held up OK? Perhaps the less humid and moderate indoor climate where you live, is easier on lenses. The cloudiness on mine is only perceptible under certain angles and looks like a fine coating, but nevertheless was rather disheartening to find on my sharpest lens. For all I know there may even be beneficial side effects. I was not able to see any effect on pictures. Pictures from shattered front lenses show just how bad the front lens can get before it shows in the results.

Arnold, my lens is undamaged in any way. Are you sure you have cloudiness? Certain lighting angles, with the coatings on the lens, will cause it to appear cloudy, but it's just a reflection, probably between the front and second elements. That's what it looks like on my M 100/4 at least. With my reading glasses on, I can see that it is a reflection.

My M 100/4 is holding up quite well, no cloudiness ... and I need to take it out for a spin or two soon ... Salut, J

Here's one taken with one of my trusty M135/3.5s. I've got an extra one if anyone's interested (acquired in a multi-lens purchase).
This is Kansas City, MO, as seen from the downtown dog park. It was 19 degrees, but Wesley has to run, you know. :-)

Well done Pierre.

Love my M 35/2 although I don't use very often.

Thanks Tom, sorry I didn't answer sooner, I have been down with a lumbar sprain and now it is the New Year's celebrations.

Beautiful portrait.
Looks like a very good lens. I would need to compare it with my K50/1.4 and my A50/1.7.

Very good shot, I hope is is only a reflection.

Thanks - I believe the M50/1.7 is optically identical to the A-version.
M20/4? I can only dream.....very nice shot.

Another shot of Doc with the M50/1.7 (xposted to Pets)
Happy 2014!
