Couple from Italy last week. Both NEX-5N with M50/1.4 at f/8 or so:

Very nice. I really fancy a small NEX body with a kit zoom to get wide angle and then just a PK adapter for everything else. How do you find the NEX with manual lenses?

Some more flower shots with the M 100mm macro
most of them around 1:2 magnification.

And a bonus dragonfly, (I love them )

In short - brilliant.

I have the PZ16-50 for snaps and wide, then use either my Pentax (K, M, DA, DA*) or Olympus OM lenses for everything else. Focus is easy, metering fine, and IQ early equal to my K5.

In fact, I think in the medium term I am going to get an A7 and some fast glass (Rokinon 35/1.4 springs to mind) and replace my NEX-5N, K5 and 67ii...

Cross-posted to the Brenizer method thread.

I did a series of Brenizers when I was in Seville recently, using my usual M 85mm f/2. I'm not entirely happy with how they came out, I'm perhaps aiming for objects that are too big so don't demonstrate such shallow DoF in the end picture. There's also a lot of blown-out sky in all three.

The first two are from the virtually abandoned Expo '92 area. If there weren't so many locked gates, I think I could spend days wandering around photographing the urban decay.

Great efforts I think.

Blown out sky is a tough one - have you tried shooting raw, exposing for the sky then bringing the rest up in post?

I think this picture is composed of around 150 2MP shots, so RAW is certainly not an option. My poor old K200D locks up after four or five RAW shots, so I'd be there all day.
