WOW!

Kodachrome!

What memories this brings back.

Buying the rolls of Kodachrome with the mailer, and then sending the exposed rolls away, and waiting a week or more for the slides to come back! If you told kids nowadays this is how many people developed their pictures, they might not believe you!

Kodachrome 64 was my mainstay, but Kodachrome 25 is what got me to start using a tripod.

I remember getting slow shutter speeds on bright, sunny days!

Ah, the memories!

Mike

A trip to the beach back in september with the M 28mm f2.8:
It was late afternoon/early evening and there was no wind. The beach is a sandbar in the South Saskatchewan river near Saskatoon.

What appears to be mist in this image is actually dust. There is a farmer harvesting a field at camera left, and a layer of dust is seeping out of the field and out across the water.

There's a gap between some of trees, you can see the dust pouring out

M28 f2.8 wide open, this lens is not designed with smooth bokeh in mind, case closed...

Beautifully composed image, and great colours, but yes: that bokeh is really jittery

I used my M 35/2 a lot on a recent trip to Seville. It doesn't quite have the IQ of the 35mm ltd, but it's very good and has the advantage of being film SLR compatible.

In Seville I spent part of an afternoon with the M 85mm f/2 on extension tubes for close focus. I'm quite pleased with some of the results, focusing was tough (even with a Katzeye).
