The other day, I made a last-minute decision in the late afternoon to use some free time to take in a quick hike on a local nature trail. I grabbed my K-5 II with the already mounted lens - an M 50/1.4. At the last moment, I also pocketed my M 100/2.8, 'just in case'. It's a lightweight lens with plenty of sharpness and character, and it's easy to carry. Halfway into my hike, I encountered a mature White-tailed deer - a buck. Of course, the 50/1.4 was not quite long enough, but I quickly swapped the M 100, reset the focus fine adjustment on the K-5, and proceeded to capture a series of pictures. Here are two of them.
