Nice shot with a nice lens. It's a bit of a beast. but I really like its colors & sharpness.

Hi people ! I have been a little bit off, and I want to share this picture taken with M50mmf1.4. The old man let me take him a picture, but I took him more than one ... and at a certain moment I realize he was hitting me with the stick ...

My M28/3.5 was probably my most-used M-lens this summer. One from August:

That little M135 look very sharp - is it sharper than the reviews give it credit for?

It's soft wide open! very unusable to me! but when you stop it down to f/5.6 or f/8 it's very sharp. and these were shot @ f/6.7 or f/8.
But then, I wouldn't call it a sharp lens! because you have to stop it down to f/5.6 to get sharp results.

I agree. I have a Tokina 135 f/2.8 now that I use instead. It's bigger and heavier but far superior in IQ anywhere close to wide open.

Here's one of my roses-to-be, shot with my M50/2 reversed on my K-30.

(I'm just hoping the predators are as efficient at clearing the pests as they were last year: about a fortnight and we were free of aphids. Fingers crossed...)

My first macro using the new to me as of today SMC Pentax M 28mm f/2.8 lens. The lighting isn't that great, I did no post other than resampling to 25% of original, I do not crop, and I have the wrong focus point, but for a quickie shot right before bed, I like it. Very nice lens.

Transformers Prime: Arcee Deluxe figurine as taken in my poorly lit room around 5:15am 10/21/14.

I was playing around with my 28mm 2.8 at work today. Working in a retail store gives you lots of odd, random things to photograph. This one is the lighted bulb on an xmas lawn decoration. Macro practice, The lights in the bokeh region took on a pentagonal appearance. Think I was using the lens in f/8.0 or f/11.0, I didn't really make note of it but it wasn't in full open.

Proud owner of three M lenses. Here are a few shots from each (cross-posted from various places in the "Post Your Photos" section of the forum:

M 200 f4:

M 135 f3.5 (with extension tubes):

M 135 f 3.5 (with Asahi Pentax close-up lens):

And finally, M 24-35 f3.5

Macro taken yesterday at work. The retail overlords demand xmas stuff be put out, I'll at least use it as photo subject material. Taken with SMC Pentax-M 28mm f/2.8 on K-50. Xposted from macro forum.

The joy of compact 'M' lenses - the M 100/2.8

The other day, I made a last-minute decision in the late afternoon to use some free time to take in a quick hike on a local nature trail. I grabbed my K-5 II with the already mounted lens - an M 50/1.4. At the last moment, I also pocketed my M 100/2.8, 'just in case'. It's a lightweight lens with plenty of sharpness and character, and it's easy to carry. Halfway into my hike, I encountered a mature White-tailed deer - a buck. Of course, the 50/1.4 was not quite long enough, but I quickly swapped the M 100, reset the focus fine adjustment on the K-5, and proceeded to capture a series of pictures. Here are two of them.
