Very nice, indeed! They both exhibit the quality I spoke of.... the quality of sharpness that's hard to define, but "different" than other lenses. I love them.... and simply MUST use them more. They provide images that other lenses just can't seem to duplicate. I need something in a mid-range focal length. My lens collection jumps from a f:1.4, 50mm to a f:2.5, 135mm with nothing in between. Any suggestions?

And.... no need to be a "lurker," Piotrek.... we're all pretty much harmless. A little off-the-beaten-path at times, but for the most part, a good bunch of like-minded individuals. I really like the infrared photo. That's something I've never tried before. Maybe you could offer a short tutorial?

Ah.... very nice, Pablo! I love children. Their innocence is so precious. Is this your daughter? This is a photo that will be viewed and spoken of for decades to come. A wonderful capture, my friend.

Thanks for the kind words. K100D and other old 6MP Pentaxes seems to be the best for this. You do not need to modify camera in any way, but you need IR filter (I use one from Hoya). M 50/1,7 and M 40/2,8 are really good for this type of photography (and 49 mm filters are much cheaper then the others). Then you need to set the WB manually on grass/foliage and thats'all.

Some other photos could be found in K100D thread:

I just discovered the "selective color" option on my new K50. I'll have to give it a whirl soon.

Stopped down it is usually well controlled but Lightroom does a good job when it is not.

Here's another M50/1.7 I was particularly proud at that (early) time with this lens as I managed to get it (somewhat ) in focus and not freak out with metering/focus/tracking. Meanwhile I discovered CIF so it gets (again somewhat) easier.

Because of your picture I checked image samples for that lens, it's so "3D". Better than my Vivitar 135mm f3.5. One more lens in "I want it now!" list.
So far I own only one M lens 100mm f4, it's great, with creamy bokeh, sharp macro and close ups, but ordinary good for distant shoots, imo. Yours is special.
