That's great and an excellent use of the light. TFS, J

Makes me want to work more with my M50 1.7. Such lovely colors and textures.

Nice example of use of this neglected lens. I have been looking seriously at it. Thanks for the post.

They are hidden gems of the Pentax world, for sure! Every time I use mine, I'm amazed at the sharpness and nice color saturation. They can be bought for a very reasonable price, too.

SMC-M 28mm f/3.5 (xposted)
It's not the famed, ultrasharp Pentax-K 28mm f/3.5 but it is still a capable lens, even on a 6MP body and cropped for aspect ratio.

It's pretty close to the K actually, I loved mine before it was stolen. (did my first single in with it - still some of my favourite shots with any lens were produced for that)

These are probably re-posts, but I just finished editing these shots again after a few years. Taken with my then new-to-me M50/1.7...

Great shots! Love that M 50 1.7, and this shows its colors so well.

Some quality work in that "single in" album!

I'll (x)post another with the 28mm f/3.5:

I can remember driving one of those old Case tractors when I was a young kid, working in the peach orchards of the San Joaquin Valley in California. Hot, dreadful work.... and for peanuts! It looks as if your photo could stand a little contrast, eh?

An oldie, indeed. I still have my original M50/1.4 I bought in Hong Kong in 1966, while in the US Navy. It still performs as good now as it did the day I bought it. It looks almost new, still. Here's a shot taken this past summer, using it with a reversing ring.
