Love my m 50/1.7s. They do vary a bit from copy to copy though. My best one is the ugliest one (maybe used a bit more because very special lens)

It's a great lens. Sharp with fantastic saturated colors & good microcontrast. I also have an A50/1.7 which seems to render almost identically.

M75-150/4

That M50 1.7 sure is a nice lens, as I've been finding out in the past month or so. I find manual focusing a bit tough with it (I have bad eyes, and don't always seem to make the best of focus peaking on my K-01). The first shot was in broad daylight, came out all right. The portrait was taken in very low light, with a terrible OOC raw file. I processed it severely, and found a way to make something of it.

The first shot definitively shows a great composition and nice bokeh !!!

And the second shot has an old-vintage nice style ...

With an M50/1.7.

Face to face with a dragon. He's huge, I'm about five feet away. And this guy's about six feet from head to tail.

And not so far away from the spot:

Nothing much to brag about, but my M50 f1.7 is just a workhorse, and does a fine job. I "tricked" mine with a piece of foil in the right place at the K100DS mount, and the camera thinks it's a Pentax-A lens, and it works fairly well as such.

What are the advantages of doing that? the main thing of having a Pentax A lens - at least for me - would be finally having the aperture data in the EXIF (writing it by hand really gets tedious...), but since there's no contact I guess there must be other benefits?

Well, we don't care as long as you take her with Pentax, And mine was only playing, I could give her an excuse to take her in pictures ...
