I hate you! (But well done).

Here's one taken with my M100 f 2.8, which has become the lens that seems to be the first one I reach for on most shoots. It's so light, so easy, so smooth, so sharp. But I'm not telling anyone anything you don't already know...

That is an interesting cormorant. I have not seen a white breasted one. Nice image.

Pentax-M 40mm Pancake

Greetings,

I've only seen a couple of posts using the M40 f2.8, so here are some of mine. I really like this lens, even though many reviews don't speak highly of it.

-Joe-

P.S. I should have mentioned: All taken with K100DS.

Hiya Joe, nice to see another Missourian on here. I visit your area of the state often, I do a lot of fishing on the Meramec near St. James. Welcome !!

Super clean, sharp shots. I must keep an eye out for one of those lenses. (You can never have enough M lenses).

Thanks, mate. It's a Pied Cormorant, (Phalacrocorax varius) and is very common all over Australia. There's a smaller species, the Little Pied, and two completely black ones, the Great and Little Black. All beatiful to look at and very accomodating in posing for the camera.

Four from St. Louis

I've been so impressed by everyone's work in this thread that I wanted to add to it. Here are four photos that were taken in St. Louis the day before Thanksgiving this year. All were taken with a K10D.

The first is of the old courthouse with my M 28 f2.8.

The next two are of the arch. It seems to take flight when you are under it. Also with the M 28.

The last is across from the courthouse and was taken with my M 135 f3.5.

SMC-M 50 f/1.4

I'm very pleased at how the bokeh and color turned out on this shot.

SMC M 100mm Macro

I picked this lens up a while back and said I'd post some pics. Well, here I go. Part of my Vintage Marble collection.

Blazing colour! Were these taken on film? If so, what did you use? My M 50mm 1.4 sits on my K1000 most of the time, which is only used for b&w; you've inspired me to try it with some colour.

No, I used the SMC M 28mm of the clouds, city scape and the 50mm for the tree with my K20D.
