You guys with the M*300... do you ever use a TC with that lens, and if so, which one?

Another from the M 35-70mm f2.8-3.5. This lens is a little gem and so, so affordable.

Some pics from this weekend. Canada Goose coming in large numbers now. Also Ring-necked Pheasant shot.

All shots made with K-1 and M*300mm f/4.

Canada Goose landing.

Some closer shots

Ring-necked Pheasant

I love the last two shots. Colours in the last shot are just delicious.

Nice shot. I agree, it's a great lens with exceptional IQ for an old manual zoom.

Yes, I acquired it a few years ago from another forum member - I think I paid $40 or $50 for it...? Here's a repost of a shot taken last April using an *ist D:

Nice shot. You paid a little less than I did. Mine is in mint condition with front/rear caps and case. Looked like it was never used, can't understand how someone would neglect using this gem.

Sounds like you have a nice one. Mine isn't mint, but it's in good shape and the glass is clean. I guess not everyone is into old heavy metal and glass lenses, with manual focus and funky push-pull zoom action! The lens would be a shock to someone used to the latest autofocus plastic wonders .

Recently we spent a week in Galicia in the north west of Spain, mainly in the coastal regions, and I took old manual lenses to use the majority of the time. The M 35mm f/2 was my primary lens, and performed really well (will post some reasults from it in the near future), but I also had the M 85mm f/2 as I already knew that it excels at telephoto landscape shots. Here are a few favourites from the 85mm.

This one is a Brenizer method shot - many photos at max aperture stitched together.

Here are a couple of twilight long exposures using the M 35mm f/2. Taken in Castropol, Asturias.

These two were taken with the same lens slightly earlier and weren't long exposures. I love the colour on these - it was great light and the gear captured it well.

I stitched this panorama together yesterday. Taken with the K3 and M 85mm f/2 lens at the playa de las catedrales in Galicia.
