Both taken a few years ago with my (now sold) K10D and the M 28 f2.8.
Lovely shots, they have that infinity feel to them

Some views of the centre of Segovia taken from the cemetary (on a nearby hill) a little before dusk.

New toy: M200 F4

Bought today a new M series prime for myself to fill the selection from the long end. Most likely this will remain the longest lens in my selection as this is already longer than I typically shoot, but at some point I really would like to add M20 F4 to my collection to fulfill the wider end. Then I think my set of M primes would be ready.

Some unedited test shots from today. Doesn't look quite as sharp as shorter M lenses I have when viewed at pixel level and some PF, but when fit to screen size those are no more a problem. Therefore good enough for my purposes. Otherwise the lens is what could be expected from previous experience. Great value for 50.

I had one of these for a while and between less than optimal IQ and it being much longer than I usually shoot, I sold it off.

I've recently acquired the K version which is bigger, heavier and sharper, though it suffers from the same fringing (to be fair though I tested it on fast-moving water in bright sunshine so that would stress any lens). I need to have a think about what I can really use it for and decide it's future. I think it could be good for street portraits on film, from a long way off.

Jonathan, you have a pretty large selection of lenses, I usually put one lens from my stable on the camera and walk around with it, it may turn out to be the correct lens for the day or maybe not. As you always seem to have the right lens for the job I was just wondering do you do something similar or do you carry the entire arsenal around with you.

Kind regards,

CD

If I go out with the express purpose of taking photos I will typically carry a selection of lenses - something 28-35mm, a fast 50 and something a bit longer, 85 or 100mm or occasionally something longer. However, if I just have a camera with me in case then I will usually have just one lens, normally 35 or 50mm.

Thank you, I see some of my friends staggering around with full frame equipment and every lens under the sun, which to me, seems to knock all the pleasure out of photography. If I was going for the day I might take the 21, 40, and 70 to keep the weight down plus the M150 for that longer shot.
