Taken with K-1 and M85, lovingly silvered by dcshooter... which reminds me, I've got a couple dozen other lenses I'll need to send his way some time.

Anyway, these are my two favorite people. Harsh sunlight in east Idaho that day leads to deep shadow, but still I thought it turned out well.

Thanks for posting excellent photos, everyone!!

Nice to see the old M50 1.7 still at the top of its game despite being 40 this year!

First lens I ever bought, together with the MX. Both still in use today.

ps.you do have a flare hexagon quite visible which should clone out quite effectively.
I noticed it, but I'm still learning the Capture One and didn't know how to remove it. I do now thought (original replaced with fixed version on previous page). Thanks for motivation.

I'm quite new to Pentax and just began my journey to legacy lenses. A year ago I had no Idea how marvelous this old jewels are. My 24" monitor ain't big enough for the quality they produce. Images are so sharp and full of detail that I would like to enjoy them in larger format

There is no doubting the optical quality of many of the old legacy lenses. One thing though, the coatings that were state of the art at the time, are not as good as modern ones, and can easily lead to flare depending where the light is coming from. In addition to this, the modern digital sensor is more prone to register flare than film is. So a hood is vital when using legacy glass where flare could be an issue.

M 135 f/3.5 on the K-1 with a legacy Pentax AF200Sa thyristor flash, I think at f/5.6 or maybe even f/8:

Such a unique spring in Finland. In my life time there haven't been such a good skiing conditions in the end of April. It's rained a little bit yesterday and today, but at least until Saturday the snow was powder on the north side of the hill. It's a long hike for the ride you get (vertical drop around 200m) when you climb to the highest peak here, but it means there are very few riders there and it keeps the snow untouched for anybody willing to walk there and back. Would've been nice to have somebody with me to get proper snowboarding pics, but have settle for landscapes.

The view from the top. Part of the 17 shot panorama I took with M100/2.8:

Unlocked cabin at the top. Sleeping places for one. M50/1.7:

View towards the ski resort: 8 shot panorama with M200/4:

The beginning of the ride. The snow was a bit hard on the top, but got a lot better going down. M28/3.5:

At the bottom. M28/3.5:

The trail back. M50/1.7:

After sunset: M50/1.7:

The moon. Not much to go anymore at this point. M50/1.7:

Sorry about the long post, but this time didn't want to split images to different threads and posts, as it would have broken the photo story.

Beautiful series, iheiramo!

Here are some snowy peaks we drove by (but didn't hike through) in SW Montana, taken with a K-1 and M120/2.8

Back home and it's totally different season here on the south coast. M50/1.7:

After testing cheap filters I had to upgrade. Hoya ProND 1000 + HD CPL + M50/1.7 looks to be good enough combo. At least for a while:
