Heres a couple I took with my M135 3.5. Two pictures of very opposite content.

1. This is cropped and sharpened a little.Seems focus is more on the lower leaves and bud than on the main subject.

2. AMENDED PHOTO : here is replacemnt photo for previous wrong download.

Both nice pictures, but the second doesn't seem like it possibly could have been taken with a 135mm lens?

A Few More from the SMC M 400mm/5.6

Hi all,

Another chilly day in Waterloo but I felt to need to shoot something.
Got a couple of doves or pigeons. They were the only thing that would sit still long enough to make an image.

Thank you Peter! This is my first dSLR and I have it for less than 2 months so I have a lot to learn yet. But sure I'm having great time with the M lenses.

Lately, I've thought I kind of want to replace all of my lenses the M series.

Seeing the M series are cheaper, nicer glass, and better built, I would love to have all my lenses the M series, but I think I would miss being able to use Av, Tv, TAv mode, etc.

What do you guys think? I would love to have a 16-45mm or 16-50mm in replace of my 18-55mm and 50-200mm, so if anyone wants to trade, send me a PM.

I hear you Isaac.

I don't want to trade but if you want a a more modern lens go for it. I only have one "modern" lens the DA 70. It is a fine lens. You can see from my signature I've got a lot of old glass. They are fine optics but every now and then the simpler life looks pretty good to me. My next purchase will probably be a DA* 16-50. Time to get into the new century. Still going to hang on to the old glass though.

PENTAX SMC M 28mm 2.8

Yesterday I brought my camera at work and I was lucky enough that we had a wonderful sunset.

Here 3 shots using M 28mm 2.8. The stats on Lightroom shows me that I'm using this lens more than 50mm 1.7 to my surprise. I'm really loving this little gem.

Cheers,
Felipe

Today I went and traded my Pentax DA 50-200mm for a Pentax-M 28mm F2.8

So far I'm loving the 28mm. Now my collection has more M series than DA

I've got to agree, the SMC-M 28mm f2.8 is a very underrated lens. I've also got the SMC-A 28mm, but the contrast from the M seems better, maybe it's just the copy I've got.

This one is taken with another favourite of mine, the SMC-A 16mm f2.8. A gem of a lens.
