iheiro, your shots with the M 40 are making me reconsider getting an M 35 f2.8. My only real concern is going to be trying to focus the M 40 with motorcycle gloves on. Using the "f8 and be there" concept, I probably shouldn't worry too much, and just use the thing like its focus ring is stuck most of the time.
I didn't have any trouble with small focusring, but I didn't try it with gloves on. I used small collapsible rubber hood with the lens, which prevented from sticking fingers into the lens, when you took the hold from the edge of the focusring. Aperturering was harder to reach and often required looking to change it.

I have only taken some test shots with my M35/2.8, so can't say much about it yet, but it seems like a decent lens and is probably sharper than M40. At least M35/2 is one of the best lenses in series and supersharp. But 35's are double the length of the M40, so when size matters, I'd go for 40. OOF rendering is also one of the lenses strong features where it's better than 35. If you want all sharp sharp 35/2 is the lens to go to.

Tougth call as they are all good lenses

Nice work as usual I think you're getting the best out of these M-series!
Thanks. I'm anxiously waiting for the next round of SIC in FF. At least 6 lenses to go and one K1 to acquire before it.

Two pictures from a visit of the botanical garden in Graz, Austria.
Both pictures where taken with my first M-series lens, the M 50mm f4 Macro and my Pentax K-3.
The first picture shows the interior of the old glasshouse, which is beeing renovated at the moment and the second pictures shows the exterior of the new greenhouse.

I've used Fomapan 400 - still grainy, too much for indoors... I do like your results.

This is just a fine picture. Giving us the development details adds to the pleasure.

How's the grain? I cannot take the Fomapan 400's... I want to like it, and it works sometimes, but I find it too over powering on most low light.

I finally got a copy of the Pentax M 85mm f2.0. This is such a great little lens! I love the pop.

This is basically straight out of camera with just raw conversion via Adobe Lightroom.

I find it OK, only ... this is my first try with Foma and it's a change. Not really sure that I will try any 400 speed Foma given what I have seen thus far. Cheers, J
