M 50mm f/1.7 on the X-T20. The first one must have been wide open as the bokeh balls are nice and round. It's nice to shoot hand-held at ISO 200 at night

It took ages to get that first one as I had to wait not only for no-one to be around the golden star, but for no-one to be around the white one across the plaza.

Both are very nice. I like the contrast between the festive atmosphere in the one with the stars (great bokeh indeed) and the monochrome one with the street. Thanks for sharing.

24th

In Finland Christmas eve is the day of the festive, so we have eaten well and presents have been already given. But we started the day at the stables and took the horse for a little walk and gave him some treats. I'm mostly travelling this month, so it was nice to see him.

First one is really sweet. Well composed and f1.7 delivered great results.

25th

I took some shots quickly this morning from our summer house before the long drive to north. I liked this best.

No swimming from sauna yesterday as there is ice cover on the shore, but not strong enough to make a hole.

First time on the slope with the new skis. So gooooood. I just need to upgrade my riding to be worthy of them.

Your patience paid off. I think we all understand how frustrating it can be waiting for an opportunity to become clear, especially when there are a lot of people around.

You know, I think that little gem may have come more into its own adapted to digital than in its film heyday.

27th - Golden hour theme

Golden hour, yeah right. Not available up here at this time of the year. All I got is some pink on the hill side, which is a lot more than I expected. The sky actually opened a bit and sun was visible from high places for a while at midday.

As a second a safety shot I took of our caravan. Caravan area moved to a new place and we managed to get a place right by the slope.

Nice pink, though. Happy New Year, my friend.

A crop from a larger panorama I made this morning as an official shot. Didn't expect a clear morning like this to happen, but weather has been better than the forecast showed in advance. Downside is that clear sky always mean colder weather, but lyckily not too extreme so far. -11C and 15m/s wind today on the top.

And the larger panorama as second:

Lovely panorama. Your weather isn't that much colder than ours despite the difference in latitude (we are at ~49.5 N) and -5º C (+23º F)

Indeed. I believe that in some parts of Canada the winters are typically colder than here. The gulf stream warms up scandinavia.
