On the beach, Ventura, Calif. SMC-M28/2.8 (v.1) on *ist D. I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this lens, at least on the old 6 mp sensor

Yes it does. Though I know that Edom has more great city nightscapes.
City nightscapes or night cityscapes?

M85/2 down at the beach today for Single in February...

F8 with Hoya CPL, processed to taste in Lightroom. I use an Ipad Pro as my reference device for reviewing photos and the clarity/saturation in this image is just great, but without some of the excesses that some modern lenses can introduce. This downsampled jpeg doesn't really do the image justice.

Thank you, Paul - I've seen you getting good results from the 1st version 28/2.8 yourself... It is an amazing piece of underrated glass.

I wish someone can do a test with the F-28/2.8 as I see that one is really well acclaimed.
