Love my M50/1.7, but I'm forced to admit that IQ in F50/1.7 is a touch better. Mostly due to being sharper wide open. Instead build, feel, looks and handling are miles ahead in M. F is basically AF use only, as you really don't want to touch that thing
That is interesting... I have had 2 M 50 1.7 lenses (still have one) and they were both a bit sharper (or maybe contrastier) than my A 50 1.7 (sold) and F 50 1.7 (still own).

For the M club - here is the M 150 3.5 again. The difference from 135 to 150 is quite noticeable, this feels longer than 150mm at times.

Interesting... Maybe I need to get an other M50/1.7 to test

@ChristianRock-- Nice. Those have almost a Kodachrome look to them.

October Single In Challenge with M75-150

I'm thru with October. All shots taken and posted, so wrap up time. I was running this month with M75-150 zoom, which is considered a very good performer for its age and I agree with this notion. It doesn't loose much to the primes in its range. Zoom is sharp enough to be viewed on the screen and perfectly usable right from wide open. Primes are faster, but wide open performance tend to be a little soft, so difference is not a big issue. Primes tend to be bit better in handling extreme highlights and fringing, but usually M75-150 works well enough.

So if you prefer zooms or want to cover these focal lengths with a single lens, M75-150 offers cheap solution. I my mind you basically cover the are with two lenses: M85 & M120/M150. Two lens combo gives better IQ, but cost a lot more. As I like to work with primes and already have all M series primes that M75/150 covers, there really isn't point left for me to use it. So I will try to pass it along, if it's not too much trouble. I paid 12,50€ for my lens, so not gonna put a lot of effort in moving it along. So it could be that it will find a permanent place on my shelf

This photo taken with the M 85mm f/2 seems to be garnering far more favourites on Flickr than I usually get. It's certainly not one of my favourites that I took with that lens that day.
