Actually, one has almost a greenish yellow to my eyes on my calibrated-but-not-as-recently-as-it-should. Looks fine, really, since it's subtle, but not as reddish a yellow as I presume you were going for>

Well i hope these are better:

All taken with the M 50mm F/1.7 wideopen and ISO 1600 pushed.

yeatzee, the two portraits from the first series are really good.

Do you use noise reduction software? My photos go to crap at ISO 800 on my K200D.

for some, Noise is the devil.

anyway,IMO when it comes to black and white effect, NOISE is pleasant while clean images are dull and ugly.

That is a good one! We can make a hierarchy, from ISO 100 all the way up the scale, with the most God-fearing shooting exclusively at ISO 100, the agnostics somewhere in the middle (ISO 800, camera-dependent of course) and the heathens out on the fringes of ISO 6400.

SMC Pentax M 400/5.6

I haven't posted much of late. I had some free time today and managed a few images with the 400MM.

You shoot underexposed at 1600 and push in PP. That's all the higher ISO's are on other cameras anyhow - they just do it in firmware.

Some more from the SMC Pentax M 400/5.6

Thanks Jay.

Beautiful day here in Waterloo. Stole an hour or so to see what I could see. Once again the Chickadee's played along.

Down with Chikadees!

Tom, I must firmly request that you stop posting these images. I am going into a severe depression because of them. They are way too good.
