HDR with the M50 1.7. One of my favorites, an HDR of a Minneapolis Moline tractor. My little 40.00 pawnshop find has a remarkable 3D look compared to my other lenses.

Took this in a random record shop in San Francisco. I like the gold-ness of it.

K-x. SMC M 50mm f/1.4.

ISO 400, 1/30th sec, f/2

My 50/1.7 has been lying around a lot since I got the DA 40/2.8 ltd, but I took it out today together with my son.

Nice shot, good sharp focus. Your boy looks very cute dressed up for winter. The M50/1.7 is definitely worthy of attention, even when there are DA ltds close by. Was that a wide-open shot or stopped down a little?

Nice shot. That old lens is a winner!

I'm not sure actually, it might have been stopped down a half or whole step, but I think it's wide open. I cropped it a little bit, so DOF might seem a bit larger than it should wide open. Anyway, nailing the focus like this wide open is not something I'm known to do often...

It's definitely worthy of more attention - I'll give it more love, I promise!

I love this one! Cool!

But make it a duotone as a test!

My parents were visiting recently, so we took them on a "fungi forage" in the forest of Dean. While there I decided to have a play with my dad's 40mm pancake. It's a fun lens to use, but I'm not sure of the results in some of the shots. I did get one I liked though:

I once had a M100/2.8 lens, and its performance is amazing. I'd like to share some with you.

This is the first acceptable shot from my newly acquired M 80-200 f/4.5. Had to spend a bit of time with it to figure out what's good.

Really, really like this lens. Extremely heavy and I found my right hand getting a tad cramped while I was out with it, but it's a small price to pay for the IQ this thing delivers. Can't beat the price, either!

Testing the starburst effect with M50/1.4.

Shot at f22 I think.

From the M28/2.8, this one is stopped down to 5.6 or so.

And this version of the same shot is wide open. I have no problem with the pentagonal green lights (traffic lights) above, but the rapidness of the transition from in focus to out of focus on the wide open version I find detracts from the photo. What do you think?
