WOW, the color/contrast pops off the screen, but doesn't look oversaturated at all. Nice, nice job Ann.

Makes me want to get a M 50 1.7 again (had two, sold them both )

Taken with an M28/3.5 by far the best 28 i had (already owned FA28/2.8 and M28/2.8 and a CZ29/2.8) and 'they' say the K28/3.5 is even better

Anyone has both the SMC Takumar 105/2.8 and the Pentax-M 100/2.8 and can compare them?

Recently bought the takumar because i couldn't find any M100/2.8 at a fair price, so far i'm very impressed with the tak.

Nice family portrait Pentagor. Have those lenses ever been used? I bought most of my M lenses new and they didn't look that good coming out of the box. Can't wait to see some images from Slovenia. I don't think we have seen any M 200 shots yet.

Pentagor, nice collection!

Barbosas, that's simply an excellent display of 28mm goodness. Looks very sharp and contrasty.

bruloup, you have to rub it in, don't you? (bruloup bought my M 50 f/4 macro, and I kinda regretted it about 20 minutes after I put it in the mail. )

Those are all from e-bay. I agree, they are in really good shape.
M 200 is the last one I purchased, couple a days ago. It's rainy here last days, so I didn't have the opportunity to test it.

I'll probably add a 135 when I can afford it (think I need a DA40 first for when I don't have the time to focus manually), but here are my 50 f/2 and 28 f/2.8. Both are quite good, the slowest 50 is a bit underrated. It is something with the pictures that has some sort of 'feel' to them.

M Club

Hi all,

I’ve never participated in a forum like this before and I’m quite enjoying it. I set the cameras aside for a number of years and I am just getting back to it. Digital didn’t exist then and I’m in the midst of a major learning curve. Thanks for your patience. There is a nice international flavour to this forum and a lot of positive energy. I’ve noted participants from: Australia, Canada, US, Sweden, Slovenia, Indonesia, Brunei, the UK, Portugal, Romania, and Norway, so far. A diverse group linked by an interest in photography and all things Pentax. Thanks to Jay for starting/ moderating the M thread and to all who have posted. I am looking forward to seeing more of your M images.

SMC M 200mm f/4

.

Here are some shots taken with my M 200 f/4. Some were taken with the Tamron
1.4x TC, which I'll post after the first bunch.

I often like to use my 135 for candid people/street shots, and the 200 is good for
that also - less FOV, but tighter closeups possible.

Some of these shots had shake reduction turned off by mistake, so the shutter
speed wasn't ideal, and the 1.4TC shots had the wrong focal length entered
(it remained at 200mm vs. 250/300, I forgot.) Still - I really like the results.

jsherman999, the SMC M 200mm f/4 looks a very nice lens. Love the sharpness and colours you got in the above pics. Isn't bubs a real cutie.

I'm curious, how come you sold both your M 50 1.7's?
I picked up a Tamron 1.4x TC. cheap off Ebay and it arrived yesterday. Haven't had a chance to play with it yet though. Your shots will inspire me to test it out.

Another question ... I have the Tamron x1.4 TC ... but i have M42 gear ... can I just used the M42 adaptor into the TC and use my Screwmounts as normal???? Just wondering.
Gives me something else to play with.

.

A few more, including some 1.4xTC shots. The sun was bright and straight
overhead - not the best shooting light.

Next is the straight 200, the one following this one and the rest are with the
