Sweet I dream about 100mm true macro lens. One day I will get it.
I finally got the jumper today with 100mm f/4.
It's not 1:1 of course, but the jumper does not jump away like when I come too close with the tube set for Canon. Need Pentax tubes, flash and diffuser finally to get some decent macro pictures.

Original, jumper on hurricane shutters. Handheld

Nope, it's either f/8 or +/- one step, don't remember exactly. I used natural light when sun was very bright on that side of the house. The little guy tried to hide from the camera in shade.
But tonight I took vivitar 2x-22 teleconverter and put it on camera with 100mm together. It's promising with tripod, flash and diffuser (need to buy those last two). How sharp it is- I will see at day light. But it works! :So, I will catch that bastard sooner or later.

I was wrong, Pentax-M 100mm is great lens. I did compare it today to Pentax-F 35-70mm. They both sharp, but 100mm is "rich". It's hard to explain, but it feels like that lens is higher grade. It also does great close up "portraits". Not gonna sell it any time soon
Good that you've found the greatness of this lens, I think It's a fantastic macro lens, considering price, and I used the F 35-70 before, but it's no where near the M100macro.

Very nice shots. I love the haziness which adds to the mystique of your wife's beautiful eyes! Keep up the good work. I'd like to see more.

Well done! The first one really shows off the M-series colors, very natural-looking and just a touch on the cool side. Your B&W street shot is almost Escheresque.
