Mark, it looks like there are some very shallow areas that are pretty sharp, but it's difficult to get much DOF with a RR. The photographs possible with a reversing ring are pretty amazing. For less than $5.00, one can compete with some very expensive macro lenses. Here's a couple I took earlier in the year. My first attempt with a ring. Both were with a SMC Pentax-M f:1.4, 50mm lens.
