The photo of the bee was my first attempt at using the reversing ring in the field. The weather conditions were perfect and the bees were very cooperative! I was amazed at how well such a simple device works. By all means, please try it and post some photos of your results. I have a 52mm RR also, but have yet to use it.

Will do on the future capture(s).

And small world ... I ordered a 52mm RR for the K 50/1.4 (and other 52's) at the same time.

They were not expensive at all, and it was only a few pounds (£) more. J

I didn't think M lenses were available in in 1966. I thought the K mount came around the early to mid '70s

Ops.... my mistake. It's an M42 mount. But, a f:1.4, nonetheless. For my Spotmatic.

Must be a Super Takumar like mine, my uncle also got it with a Spotmatic, which I also have. I never tried it with a RR, now I will.

It was a festival of crashes and falls... lots of riders retired and many did even before the halfway point...

I can well believe that. The best part of cyling in heavy rain is of course the fact that bicycle tyres are not really designed for those conditions. To make it worse, the back wheel is constantly sending a stream of water straight up your back!

Not sure if they're the same, Dewman - but pretty close! Your Farmall looks like it's still operational - the one in my photo is just a decoration...
