Refreshing to see a 'new' perspective on Istanbul. Superb shot - and nice to see the M150 get some appreciation. I think it's a very good lens.

Nice picture. Yes, a perfectly fine lens, and appropriately used, would not limit a good photographer; by the same token a rare super expensive lens is unlikely to help a poor photographer. It's the photographer who makes the picture..
Thanks arnold. That particular copy of the M50/2 was a good one with the all metal body. I sold it, but now have a newer, more plasticky one. It seems pretty good with the limited amount of use it's had.

Looking up with the M50/1.7 (xposted):

My first post here

M75-150/4 @f5.6, Pentax K-x, 100 iso, 1/1600.

This lens is truly a stack of prime ! Super sharp, well detailed, contrast is a tad lower than the DA*55 or Super Tak 85/1.9, but far better than the DA18-55. Color are true. Stopping down to f5.6 almost gives the lens it's peak performance. My only limit with this lens is the 12Mpx sensor of my K-x (sounds like a futur LBA justification ...)

Wonderfully mysterious shot! Agreed, the 75-150 is a fine performer, and a real space (and money) saver compared to a range of comparable primes.

Indeeed ! I got in the the first place to remplace the very good but too heavy Vivitar S1 (1st version) 70-210/3.5.
Let's face it : i have absolutely no regrets ! The M 75-150/4 is really good. Better than the Vivitar in many aspects (flare, color, sharpness, weight, size). I will probably miss a bit the swirling bokeh of the Vivitar, but that's a very little to let go, in order to win a lot

This a a very underated lens ! The small size make it really stealthy in urban environnements ! You should use it more

Nice ones, kh & aurele ... I have not shot with mine for quite a while. Shame (on me ).

It's a great lil' zoom, hands down. J

A great lens, even wide-open. OOF areas have that "zoom" look (eg first photo below?), but apart form that I think it is great, although I haven't tried it on film:
