From today, M75-150 again. I had a chance to compare crops with Vivitar on the same subject, and surprisingly they both good, and 75-150 seems even sharper.
M75-150 is just a bit difficult to focus for me.
Cropped, then more for close up.
That Anole Lizard is very angry. They are very territorial, and judging by the foot poking through the fence, someone else has entered his territory. You can tell when they get angry by the dark stripe that flows with their eyes. A fight is about to ensue. Hope you stuck around for the show. Great photo!

You got it just right. It was the fight, and I came just on the middle of it. The winner changed the color to dark brown after it won, and "dried" kind of, like being exhausted, but kept chasing the loser to the palm tree. I should not have changed the lens during the same event. Vivitar was too heavy for such a close ups. I don't blame the lens, mostly my hands which did not have time to adjust to that weight. Anyway, I got a few shots to post in another section.

Awesome. When the weather warms up, there's a ton of them that hang around my back yard. I've learned not to disturb them when they claim their territory, as they are more fun to observe.

Lucky you. We don't have so many anoles around, mostly another kind of lizards. I actually noticed more of them this year than before. I've never seen them fighting in back yard before. Usually single guys. We also have more squirrels in the area than before. Rupert will be happy

Have you seen one doing push-ups yet?

I've been using my Pentax-M 135mm F/3.5 and 150mm F/3.5 as primaries to shoot coupled reverse lens macros, with IMHO excellent results. Here are three of my best snowflake macros from this winter (previously posted on the K-3 samples thread), all obtained with the M 150mm F/3.5 as primary.

Those are great! Can you show us what that looks like with the lenses together? Salut, J

Awesome snowflakes! Do you see any qualitative differences between the 135/150 in general?
Thanks! Truth be told, there really isn't much difference between the two, as far as I can tell. They do give slightly different macro magnification of course. (When using stacked lenses for macro, the magnification is equal to the ratio of the focal lengths used; so the 135 with a reversed 28mm give about 4.8:1 while the 150 with a reversed 24mm gives about 6:1.) But for some reason I've had more luck when using the 150mm...

Thank you! Sure, I can show you what the setup looks like. This isn't the greatest shot, but here you go: Pentax-M 150mm F/3.5 plus reversed Sigma 24-70mm F/3.5-5.6 on my K-3:

And here's a summer result with this combo at the "long" end (with the zoom at or near 70mm, for a bit over 2:1 macro magnification):

Impressive use of two lenses!
I've just picked up the M150 to go with the A50 macro and M100/2.8, should be a fun trio - though it does leave the M135 on the shelf more often.

Can you please let me know how you have joined the two lenses? I have a reversemount adapter, but I take it you're doing something different?

Yep, don't care about the minor hazing anymore. Sharpness is pretty much what I expected out of the 100/4 Macro!

I am told by my friend that the big starburst is actually Venus. The other streak may actually be Mars as well...

Yes, the reverse mount adapter is for mounting a lens directly on the camera (or bellows or tubes). For stacking lenses you need a macro coupler, a simple ring with male filter threads on each side. So you need the correct filter size(s) (or the appropriate step-up or step-down rings to use with the coupler).
