Originally posted by Marc Sabatella I'm excited to have a new addition to my collection coming soon - I just won an M100/2.8 on Ebay last night. I was also bidding on an M85/2 on the off-chance it *wouldn't* shoot out of my price range in the last couple of minutes, but of course, no such luck....
I've *loved* the results I've seen posted here and elsewhere from the M100/2.8, and while it might be a bit longer than I'd want in some cases, I'm sure it will be perfect in others
Now that I've had the M100/2.8 a week, I'm feeling quite happy I ended up with this. As it turns out, the field of view it provides is just about perfect for my style of concert photography - really tight shots when I'm *right on top* of the stage, while still often leaving just a little room for cropping when necessary. The 85 would have been unnecessarily short, and f/2.8 really is fast enough for my purposes - the M100/2.8 feels *more* than half a stop faster than my M135/3.5. And it is just *amazingly* sharp, even wide open!

As promised, here they are. All with my K200D, and except as noted, all wide open at f/2.8:
Here's a couple stopped down:
