SMC m 50 1.4

Hi all,

As promised the M 50mm rode today. We have a Conservation area a few minutes walk from my house. We managed to save this area from the developers. Hard to believe we are still in the city. As it was a lovely day and my son was home from Uninversity we took a stroll up the street.

Past some fallen leaves

To the little lake

I often take this for granted but the M 50mm makes it look pretty good.

I've seen so many shots of your boy Jay that I thought I should share. This is my eldest son Matt. You won't believe how quickly they grow!

Cheers

Tom G

Nice, the first one, Tom ! I like the colors ! The focus seems to be not perfect for the last one !

SMC M 150mm 3.5

Neat image Enzo. Your're right about my last shot - it is a bit out of focus. Need to take a bit more time there. In any case another nice fall day here. Took the 150 along with me. Here's some of what I saw:

M 135mm f/3.5

Hello,

I am a new owner of the 135mm f/3.5 and I am really impressed with it. Here is a shot done at "Le Mondiale de L'automobile" in Paris (don't know if you know the event )

No PP except light tone curve adjustments (no sharpening).

I did also some comparative tests of the lens versus the Samsung 50-200mm (which I always thought of being quite good for the price) and the M 135mm beats it by far (it is sharper and most homogeneous all over the image from center to border).

That is a nice image, great colors, the M135/3.5 is really a nice lens. Wide open it has sometimes a bit less contrast or a bit PF, but it is in general a great lens to use.

Thanks for showing.

135 / 3.5

here are a few more shots from the M 135 / 3.5. Posted them in a separate link before I saw this thread. Only had it a few days but it's very pleasant to use.

Got a 135/3.5 today too!

I'm plagiarizing myself here as I posted something similar on DPR today, but I spend way more time here lately so I wanted to join the M Club. I scored this lens on ebay for $20 shipped. Got it today, it's in great shape...
Here's some samples, all shot at f/3.5...

First shot (a bit OOF) iso 1000 on K200d

A neighbor... iso now 200 for the rest.

the ubiquitous fall shot...

bounded by bokeh...

100% crop of the last...

I'm impressed!

50 1.7

When I first bought my K10D, the only lens I had was the 50mm 1.7 that my dad bought to take photos of me back in 1977. I just a son a few months ago and bought a Pentax in order to take his first photos with the same lens. I have only been taking photos for about 3 months. This is from the first day that I bought the camera. F4, hand held in the middle of the street around 10 at night. I don't remember the speed.
