Paul,

Your M 35-70 does a nice job, and has a fast aperture. I have the F 35-70 and really like it.

My M35 is in fact hacked to be an A35. By strategically placing a small piece of aluminum foil on the "A" contact in the mount, and some pieces of tape to mask some of the other contacts, it works as an "A" lens if I dial in a -1.7 exposure bias. It's not perfect, but makes for a nice quck-grab K-50 point & shoot system with it in "P" mode, and allows the built-in flash to work in P-TTL mode. The -1.7 exposure bias keeps it from over-exposing at the extremes of aperture -- it's easier to pull up shadows than try to recover blown highlights.

You put that lens to good use, K0og. I picked one up that came bundled with a M50 1.4 I wanted. I was rather dismissive of it at first, but have grown to like it's field of view (surprisingly larger than that of my 40xs) and rendering, both up close and farther away.

That's a very nice monochrome landscape! I found a M135 3.5 for cheap last spring, and can't really figure out what to do with it. I got lucky trying it out that morning, but I may be trying out some landscapes with it in the future thanks to your picture

Many thanks. I'm a fan of telephoto landscapes, while everyone else is trying to go as wide as possible, for landscapes I often prefer a normal or telephoto lens to focus on particular elements of a scene. The one problem I found with the M 135mm when I was in Norway was the lack of contrast. I have been searching for a small but good quality (and inexpensive) telephoto lens for a while and will continue. I might have to eventually bit the bullet and pay for an M 120/2.8 or A 135/2.8.

The M 35mm f/2.8 is a very nice lens with great rendering. I also have the f/2 version and by f/4 they're really indistinguishable, and not too much in it at f/2.8. It's a shame it's such a rare lens as more people would otherwise benefit from using one.

I'd also like to join the M35/2.8 fan club. I'm very fond of mine, it's a fine lens, and on one particular evening this summer, the more I drank the more artistic it seemed to be...

I took the M 100/2.8 out with me today as I haven't used it for ages. I've almost sold it a couple of times as I also have the 85/2 but so far it's still with me.

Nice. Is that the f/2.8 or 3.5? I have the latter and often wonder if I should pick up the 2.8 sometime...
