iheiramo, I think the last pic of the three you posted came out quite nicely.
And that's the one I was most worried about, as lifting of the shadows can be noticed from the clouds close to trees. I guess it's a matter of taste what you look at and what gets your attention. First two were a little saturated on purpose as I wanted to really bring out the yellow sky and play with a new program. Apparently they turned out as thought. Thanks for the comment.

The antenna picture was my favorite of pictures I took today, so I developed it also with my old editor with procedure I'm used to. I left it a little less saturated. I tried to lift shadows as much as possible, but I could not make antenna and the forest as visible as with Capture One. Also the white spot from the sun doesn't look as good. To me it looks that Capture One does better work, but at least at this point the old feels much easier to use.

More pictures with M28/3.5 which has been my favorite walk around choice lately. The light in the first picture is not due to the lens, but is pretty much what I saw with my eyes. I haven't seen such thing before. It's snow floating in the air with light coming to it in perfect angle.

Yeah, this week is too cold for my taste. Luckily it's already turning to spring so it does heat up during the day. Nights around -20C with afternoon temperatures close to -10. In calm weather it's not so bad, but unfortunately there have also been some winds with average wind speed from 6 to 10 m/s. I wouldn't mind if it were 5-10 degrees warmer.

Very nice photos with the M28/3.5! I agree it's a wonderful lens - I just wish I had views as dramatic as yours. Taken last October around sunset:

Very nice photos and welcome to the forums! However, this group is for photos and discussion of the Pentax M-series lenses. You might check the Soviet lens clubs, or the Primes thread.

Thanks. Luckily I don't live here permanently, because this place is in the middle of nowhere and way too far in the north, but same go for all other major ski resorts in Finland

Last day up north and we took a little photo session with my son on the slopes. Didn't even try to focus on skier. M28/3.5 has so short infinity focus that I could just leave it there, shoot a burst of passing skier and crop the best frame to desired composition. So easy that even child can do it. It was fun to be also on the other side the camera for a change

And then the one by my son.

Are you guys talking about fringing using Lightroom, and if so, are you using the lens correction feature? I agree that longer focal length K and M lenses are definitely prone to CA, both pink and green, but the eye dropper tool seems to fix it fairly well in the most recent version of LR.

At any rate, here's one taken with the venerable M85/2

Nice colors Jason.

It's Ruka ski resort in Kuusamo and it was a good to be there again. Even if we missed 2 days of skiing due to cold and windy weather. 15m/s winds in -15C are too much for me nowadays. I've grown soft with age. When I was young there was no such thing as too cold weather
