For editing I have been using Capture One 10 since March this year and for panoramas I've been using free Image Composite Editor. I have been very satisfied with Capture One. It has very powerful controls over colors and exposure. I haven't used Lightroom so cannot compare to that, but it was a clear step up from my previous editor.
I also useC1, for several years now, version 8. The basic rendering is generally so nice that only a few adjustments are necessary, such as exposure and sharpening. The rest I do in PS by habit, although it probably could be done in C1 too.
Panoramas I have not tried yet but after seeing some of yours with 50 1.7 and 28/3.5 I’m interested.

I let the sharpening stay at default setting and instead play a lot with clarity toolbar. I think it's really effective tool to built a desired pop to the shot.

Quite a lot can be done in C1. Thru layers you even get to do healing and cloning to remove objects from the shot but it's of course more limited than in photo editor, so not everything can be done with it.

I've been really impressed by M35/2. It didn't focus to infinity when I bought it, so had to adjust it. Now that it's set, the lens is incredibly sharp all the way to the horizon:

Also acceptable, thought not as nice as from 8 bladed M*300, starbursts in the night:

Love this lens

Superb shots! Would you like to do a short tutorial or point to a link that shows how to adjust infinity focus on these manual lenses?

Here's an opportunistic shot... I had my M100 Macro on at the time.
I have used the tutorial in this thread to adjust my M28/3.5 & M35/2:

Help! Pentax M 50mm 1.7 can't focus to infinity - PentaxForums.com

It was linked to me on this thread about a year ago. The name of the thread makes it kind of hard to find. I had to search thru this thread to find it on page 392. Luckily I knew the right day of the post, so didn't need to read every page

I like your shot.

After weeks of gray weather the sun shone a while through a hole in the clouds. So out quickly with the precious 50 1.7.

Iheiramo, very nice lake picture!

Those "horribly out of date" M series still take pretty good images, don't they. For many years on low income my telephoto was the M 135/3.5, and I have many really good shots with it. On film. You show that it works just fine on digital, too, and I sure don't hold with those that insist the modern lenses are way, way better. Maybe better flare resistance, purple and CA resistance, but those are handled with lens hoods and post processing quite well.
