I'm done for the month with M135/3.5 in single in challenge.
Complete album.
I bought this lens just for the SIC. I knew beforehand that it's not as sharp as M120 and being so close in focal length I really don't need it in my camera bag. So not the sharpest tele in M series, but there are also strengths in this lens: It's really cheap. Practically free. It has nice rendition and, most importantly, really good 3D feeling. Also quite good wide open and I shot more wide open shots than I do typically. I think this might be at it's best in portrait kind of shooting. I'd say good choice for testing manual primes and occasional use.
Some highlights from the month:
I like the skin tones and rendition of water.
This shot is so much prettier than my dirty car was in reality. Sometimes it's good not to pick every detail, but concentrate on clean lines and nice tones
Wide open performance. Simple quick snap, that surprised me with how it turned out, when I was just looking for safety shot. I love the 3D feeling in this.
An other one with clean lines. No small detail. This is where this lens shines.
And I saved the best to be the last. Clearly my favorite of the month. Love how shadows mach the sky, trees are awesome with all that snow and focus is spot on.
EDIT: In March I will be shooting M28/2.8 in single in challenge. Most likely some shots will leak again also to this thread.
