That lens has got some severe distortion issues 😳.
If you say it due to that building in the middle (looks like a backwards K)... it is a weird building with a weird angle...

Otherwise, my SMCTak 35/3.5 is also distorted (photo below just for example, obviously is not an M-Club member lens):

So, what is regular traveling-gear for you?

21ltd and set of M's: 35, 50, 85, 120 and 300 if I feel there might be need for supertele. Might also add 50 or 100 macro or extension tubes in the set. With larger set I also carry tripod.

Of course SIC always adds or substitutes some lens.

M 75-150/4

I'm testing M 75-150/4 with achromatic diopters and it seems they work good together. But this particular photo was made without one - just around 150 mm/MFD/f11.

September Single In Challenge with M85/2

I'm done with the month and it's been good. M85/2 is one of the best primes in M series and I have enjoyed greatly on the its IQ. Lens is prone to fringe on wider apertures, but it hasn't been as bad as I remembered. Stopped down to f5.6 it's often small enough to be correctable in PP. As always with M series the lens is bit soft wide open. Really nice bokeh.

It's all good. I really have nothing else negative or constructive to say than fringing. This is one of the must keep lenses in the searies. Samples from the month:

Wide open:

Stopped down to f2.8:

Sunset:

Macro with extension tubes:

Sports:

Amazing sparkle:

Portrait:

October challenge with M50/1.4.

Trying out the M 50mm f 1.7.

Seeing all the great M photos on this thread prompted me to fit the M 50mm f 1.7 on the KI-1 and take a short photographic walk. Here are the results.

Lovely Lancia Fulvia coupe there. Multiple World Rally Championship winner in its day.

That the Lancia name was applied over recent times to rebadged Chrylers was an affront to the heritage of the brand.

I'm too young to remember. Delta Integrale is the more familiar Lancia rally car for me.

M85/2:
My first two cars were a Fiat 125 and then a Fiat 124 Sport (the last version with 1800cc twin cam motor). I was a member of the local Fiat Lancia Car Club for several years. My father had a couple of the Lancia Beta sedans. I still have a residual hankering for a Beta coupe.

Fiat/Lancia distribution in Australia more or less fell away after the Fiat 131 came to end of life. More recently, we have the modern incarnation of the Fiat 500 on sale out here.

M50/1.4 at f2.

I'm starting to get the feeling that this is the wide open and portrait fifty and 1.7 is the stopped down landscape lens. 4 for by its nature is The Macro and 2 is the no go fifty
