Today I visited Fagervik. It's an old steel factory and village build around it that worked 1646-1902 and located on a beautiful place by the lake. Most of the buildings remaining are from 18th century, which is real old in our perspective, as most of the Finland was wild forest at that time.

The small wooden huts are workers houses. Brick houses are factory buildings. There is also church by the lake and factory owners mansion with big gardens on the area. Unfortunally the garden is not open for public, so no pictures from it. Also there's no access behind the gates of manor house.

I'm done with September and time to do wrap up of the month. Focal length was bit difficult for me. On FF I found 28mm to be too wide and not wide enough at the same time

The lens... Usable from wide open, but in typical way gets sharper when stopped down. For landscapes f5.6 is enough to provide corner sharpness, but there is some vignetting on FF even at f8. When set to infinity everything is sharp from around 3m at f8, so pretty easy to snap casual shots. Didn't push for starbursts as this lens is not as good on those as M28/2.8. Sharpness is good enough, but nothing to get stoked about.

Now that I'm done with this lens on SIC, I think I could put it on sale. I find both M35 lenses better for me. I think they perform better and, I like that focal length more. If I keep 28mm on the shelf, it will be M28/2.8 due to better starbursts and PF performance, but even that would get in my camera bag only in rare occasions.

I go into october SIC with K1ii and M100/4 macro.

f5.6:

Hello, I bet you will find buyers for your 28mm F3.5 without difficulty. Sharp even wide open, and good infinity focus, nice colours. Sorry but I wonder if yours is not a keeper ... Can you try it cropped on the K1 ?

I just bought more M primes than I really need to have material for single in challenges and in order to learn about differences between models in same series. I try to sell some before I get more lenses for the challenge No point for them to collect dust on the shelf when someone else might actually use them.

I did SIC in APSC format with this lens about a year ago. I had K5 in use, so it's basically same as using K1 in crop mode. You can find my wrap up post here: The M Club! - Page 458 - PentaxForums.com
Or if you wanna check full album it's here: SIC 2018 08 Pentax M28/3.5 APSC | Flickr

I noticed that for some reason I didn't post these triptych theme shots year ago, thought they are probably months best work.

Also multible shots theme shot is best I've produced with that tecknique:

And also this might have been worth posting:

A bit of a Sun SET (haha...)

M75-150. I have no idea what FLs I shot these at.

Needless to say, this lens is a keeper.

Wow, Northcoastgreg, can I just say that your images make me want to live near the north coast (and have a K-1)?
