October Single In Challenge 2019 with K1ii & M100/4

15th

Beautiful morning. Had 20 minutes to spare so used familiar place to get some shots. M100/4 is quite low on contrast as a default and pointing to sun washes it's rendering even more. Had to put quite a lot pp to get here:

And as a second...

I did some reading on internet and it seems my M100/4 has some haze in it on the inside of front element, which effect the contrast. Clearly visible when lit with flashlight from the rear. I have a feeling it's gotten worse from June 2018 when I shot this lens in SIC in APSC format. I remember it has always been bit on low contrast, but don't remember the los of constrast been this drastic when pointed towards the sun.

Here a shot from previous round for comparison:

Well, forecast for next 10 days doesn't offer any sun, so maybe I'm good for this month

Would that haze be fungus? The way you describe it, makes it sound like its growing. Nice atmosphere in these pictures. Great capture with the low sun.

No, it doesn't look like fungus at all. The look of it matches the description of smoky haze in here: The Flashlight Test

Despite early access to computers and active roleplaying thru teen age I personally was never a proper nerd. More like a hangeraroud member among smarter friends. I had too much other interests. Still I have loved this series from the beginning. A lot I can relate to

Another nice one with a nice transition from bokeh to in focus. It just seems a bit harsh in the top of the image (with the horizontal case/book).

Very nice as usual, Iheiramo I do wish the "lighthouse" was a tad brighter, but that might kill the "mood" of the picture. Very nicely done.

Thanks. I did make the surroundings darker in PP to make it more moody.
