I tried different exposure times to test proper amount of movement in water. Here is the same composition in color with 0.5s exposure:
All pictures are well done. But in my opinion the 0.5 sec exposure works best in this scenario.

Thanks. For some reason I liked 15s shot in B&W and 0.5 in color. Faster shots didn't have enough water movement.

I shot also with F17-28FE, which show more of the Kiutaköngäs. If someone is interested they can be found here: Fisheye Fever Club -- Flaunt your fisheye photos! - Page 232 - PentaxForums.com

November Single In Challenge 2019 with K1ii & M50/2

1st

Safety... Well, not really, but that was my feeling when I decided to go take a quick landscape in a perfect weather from familiar easy to reach hill top I have often used to take shots while in Ruka. Now even easier, as the caravan area got relocated by the bottom station of the slopes from that hill, so it's even shorter drive up. There's car park near the top. It's so easy place to shoot as you 360 view and every direction is beautiful, that it's like a cheat code for SIC. ...And I have pics to prove it. Sorry for the long post in advance

For the official shot I continue with my anchor lift serie.

K1ii M50/2 ISO100 f8 1/350:

Then if we continue clockwise there's the radio and TV antenna to shoot. During winter there is often really nice frost:

After that is the main top of the area. A lot of snowmaking going at the moment:

I'll skip the hill range shot few days ago and introduce the view to east:

Ruka lake in the south east:

More hills in the south, but didn't feel like shooting straight to the sun so I skip them also.

If you get tired of landscapes, there is also frost details to shoot This is visible in the official shot:

Sorry for long and wasteful entry to the month. I know there's almost a weeks worth of shots there. I'll head out tomorrow and the weather was special today, so couldn't resist. Morning was even more beautiful with more fog floating in the ground, but I was busy with training on the slopes.

Oh, I also have a panorama, but save it for the right thread in PF

Wrap up time! October is done and, thought the weather has been mostly very autumn like, I'm very pleased with my album this month. The week of snow in the end offered also new possibilities.

M100/4 was, like all M's, a pleasure to use. Buld quality is great and focus is smooth to handle. But with macro lens it's long way from MFD to infinity, so a lot of turning sometimes. F4 is a bit slow, but sharpness is perfectly usable wide open, so it's not so big deal compared to other tele lenses in the series. Like with other lenses in FF so far it feels it works better on K1ii than on APSC round. I've had contrast issues with this lens. At first I expected it to be lens feature, but during this month I realised that there is haze on the front lens, which explain the problem. Not a big issue to fix in pp, if you don't shoot against the sun.

Personally I like M100/4 macro more than M100/2.8, as macro feature set it aside from M85, M120 or M150, which triumph both 100mm options when shooting targets further away or landscapes. So I will use this lens in future when there is a chance I need its macro. The lens itself was a keeper by default as I got it as a gift

The end of the month was fun enough that I want keep on shooting in November, so SIC with M50/2 is in order. Also I need to get my 100 posts again and posting this stuff to PF is good excuse to build up post count. As I haven't heard any complains, I'll keep on cross posting to M club.

I am pleased that you are using the old girl, and am even more pleased by the images you tease out of it.

My pleasure I've been really pleased with the results its provided during both, APSC and FF, SIC months. It's taken some of my best shots in challenge. I still love this taken with K5:

2nd

One more for the anchor lift serie. This time wide open.

K1ii M50/2 ISO100 f2 1/350:

For landscape wide open was too soft, but one stop down and it's acceptable:

Thanks. The frost just keeps on growing thru the winter and in the end create pretty thick covering.

The one with the flying skier is great; love the nice separation from the background. Was the landing OK, because it does look a bit out of control.

Perfectly in control and land was OK. The shot is taken in late part of the jump as he is starting to prepare for landing. He did nice runs round after round. You see really high level of riding in Ruka park, as we have a lot of professional freestyle skiers and snowboarders and this is the main training area in Finland. Kind of gets you spoiled as this level of performance is everyday stuff The matching sky and shadow color make this special for me.

Also Thanks for Jorgario
