Thanks, the natural frame was on purpose and the main idea why I took the shot. Well, of course I was also looking for some way to spend the time

I actually never consider B&W when I shoot. It's a post processing decision for me. While shooting I look for angles, light and compostion. Today both of the posted shots were lacking the light due to mountain blocking sunlight and things just didn't look good in color shots, but I managed to get some decent shots that work in color while sunlight hit part of the training slope despite missing the focus on most of my attempts with M*300

December Single In Challenge 2019 with K1ii & M85/2

Team meating this morning. Time tables chanced yesterday and snowboarding parallel Giant slalom is a day earlier, so tomorrow we hit the slope with #1. Unless something very Italian happens again and schedule returns back to original

One can't help noticing that alpine skiers that live in the same hotel work with a different budget when looking at all the gear in waxing room
A maintenance crew would also make it all look so much more professional...

13th

Long, but good day. Today was snowboarding parallel giant slalom in Deaflympics and we took second place. We had all the tools to go for gold also, but mistake in final run took that chance from us. Really happy to have the medal from the first competition. Takes some pressure of from tomorrows parallel slalom.

Hard to pic a shot for the day, but I go with celebrations.

Greets!
I'll hopefully be posting to the club more in the future. The M lenses were my babies in the film days. I had the 28/2.8, 50/1.7 (now in the hands of SWMBO), the 50/1.4 (because I hadda have the faster one...), the 75-150/4 and the 300/4. I either still have the 300, or it's the K version. I'll hafta check. I got caught up in adapting older lenses to digital because I wanted to shoot the 300. It's still a bazooka.
Anyway, I've read so much about how the 50/1.7 is one of the sharpest out there, and recently scored one. Feels like home. Big bay doors of a local volunteer fire station.

Olympus OM-D E-M1.1 @f5.6, IIRC. Processed from RAW with adjustments for WB, straightening and exposure.

Welcome to the club and happy shooting with the M's. The photo is nice, with great and vibrant colours. Well done.

December Single In Challenge 2019 with K1ii & M85/2

14th

Second silver from Deaflympics. This time in parallel slalom. She was strong today and had the speed to go for gold, but small mistake in critical spot just before flat part took a lot of time in the final round and we lost by 11 hundreds. We had a good lead before mistake and she almost cought up before finish line, but you just can't get speed up quickly enough in flat part and it is essential to transfer as much speed as you can from the steap part. Basically if it had happened anywhere else on the track we would have won. Bad luck, but that's how this sport is. Yesterday we were celebrating the silver. Today it was nice to have, but had taste of loss in it.

K1ii M85/2 ISO200 f8 1/1500:

That's it for us. Now we have some time to look around mountains and do some freeriding. I haven't really done any riding myself so far this season, so looking forward to it. I might have something else than competition shots to post in coming days

That M* 300 is one I always wanted, or at least wanted to see and try out. Scarce as can be; almost like the Hollywood 28/2.0 K.
