It's good Especially wide open in K1ii:

But it's not as convinient in size as other M primes and sometimes bit difficult to shoot due long focal length, so not always in camera bag. Like today I didn't care to carry it thru the day while skiing on the mountains. Instead decided that M150 is long enough.

Second silver from Deaflympics. This time in parallel slalom. She was strong today and had the speed to go for gold, but small mistake in critical spot just before flat part took a lot of time in the final round and we lost by 11 hundreds. We had a good lead before mistake and she almost cought up before finish line, but you just can't get speed up quickly enough in flat part and it is essential to transfer as much speed as you can from the steap part. Basically if it had happened anywhere else on the track we would have won. Bad luck, but that's how this sport is. Yesterday we were celebrating the silver. Today it was nice to have, but had taste of loss in it.

That's it for us. Now we have some time to look around mountains and do some freeriding. I haven't really done any riding myself so far this season, so looking forward to it. I might have something else than competition shots to post in coming days
Excellent action shot!

December Single In Challenge 2019 with K1ii & M85/2

15th

Beautiful sunny day for freeriding on the mountain. 85 didn't feel like the right focal length for the landscapes, so shot mostly with other lenses.

Question for the club: I'm familiar with and have loosely watched for the M 100/2.8. There's a 100/3.5 on eBay right now, but I don't find a review of this one. Anybody have one or know about it?

It's not M lens. M series have M100/2.8 and M100/4 macro.

On other note, if you're interested in that focal length I suggest to check out M120/2.8. It's way better and usually around the same price group. Harder to find thought.

Definitely not an M-lens. It could be the takumar or the FA

I've never really gotten on with the 100/2.8. I bought it back when I thought I'd likely never own an 85mm as they were much more expensive (even more true now) but I've never really given it a chance. I used it one morning on the weekend before last as it was the longest prime I had around and I have to say I'm pretty happy with the results. It's not super sharp wide open but it's usable, though that depends on the exact photo.

Well, I was half right. It is an M lens:

And here's the auction listing.

I even looked at the picture of the aperture ring to confirm the maximum aperture was f3.5. I just took it on faith that the seller had described what he was actually selling, but noooooo...

It's the 135/3.5. Which I have. DOH!

Carry on, nothing to see here...

So the seller has noticed that 100's go for a better price

In my opinion 135 is better lens than 100/2.8, but 85, 120 & 150 are my favorites among the M series tele primes. That is if we consider M*300 a supertele...

Yeah. I have the Tak 85/1.9, but keep my eye out for the M 85... I had the same idea as you regarding the value of the 100 vs the 135, but the seller has to know that when the wrong lens shows up at the buyer's door a return is inevitable.

December Single In Challenge 2019 with K1ii & M85/2

16th

Snowboardcross was held today in cloudy conditions. I had plans to shoot some action, but there just was not enough visibility. While we waited finals to start the weather opened up for the moment. Too bad there was no action at the moment, as few riders on the course wouldn't hurt the shot, but I like it even at it is.

This portrait also turned out pretty well:
