Just another one in a billion photographs taken of this magical place.
My vantage point is the apex of the Rialto Bridge walkway in Venice, Italy, looking West into the Grand Canal.
It's about 10 PM, Venice time, 27 April 2010.
This image was captured handheld using a Pentax K-x camera paired to an ancient Pentax-M 28mm/2 lens.
The 'star flare' pattern of the sparkling white lights is a natural characteristic of the lens. No special tweaks were used to bring it out.
Cheers and enjoy the season… M
WOW...
It's been a while since I've perused these forums and thought i'd drop in.
Just recently got back to re-engaging my photo muscle memories and see this
I like the 2nd shot more but...
Both Billion Shots should be relabeled as Gazillion!
If I may ask - you mention handheld? not while propping it on the Rialto rails?
