Still, if you don't HAVE to have the latest and greatest it is probably worth waiting.
As you can see from my signature I have a lot of old K, M and A series glass. I like the challenge of MF. If you have the time and patience the old glass can produce excellent results. I have to admit there are times when I wouldn't mind something a little more current. Something like the FA* 600/4 for instance. Till that unexpected inheritance or lottery win I'll be quite happy with what I've got.

I got such a good price on the K20D it made no sense at all not to pull the trigger on it now then get the K-7 down the road when the early 'adopter tax' is repealed.
I actually had looked at your lens list and I thought if you can't get the shot with that selection, a person should take up another endeavor.
But I was also struck by the fact that the total cost for all of them would net only a couple of the high end lenses from Canon. How is that not a wonderful thing?
I do not mind getting back to MF at all. I will always have the option to mount something with AF anyway. It has long bugged me how disposable 35mm lenses had become. Perfectly great glass with nothing digital to mount them on and use. That is one of the attractions I had to the K20D last summer when choosing the DSLR I would start with...though I am happy I made the choice I did with the 40D, I am even more pleased to move over to the K20D and more than likely move to the K-7 as soon as we know more. In the mean time I can take it slowly and build a proper collection of nice perfectly wonderful older primes and zooms.
Getting back to MF after decades of AF is gonna be, well, interesting...time to recall the shortcuts again...hehehe...
Thanks a bunch for the tips and suggestions...and more importantly, the really nice shots!
