Q 08 Lens Club

Here is the new Pentax Q 08 Lens Club. It is an amazing little wide angle gem for the Q cameras. Here is my first submission. I will ask the moderators to create the lens club and move this message to that spot.

This is really nice idea to have a Lens club for each of the Q system lenses!

I am not sure what criteria the moderators use for agreeing to a new club but I am still waiting for approval of this one for the 08.

Well here's one of mine from earlier this year, previously in the normal picture thread , demonstrating both how close you can get and how distorted it can get - yet I still like it :-)

This second one on Flickr is a building in Ljubljana, Slovenia taken from across the road with my bak to the building on the other side. My wife had a 24mm lens on her Alpha 6000 and couldn't get the full building in - with the 08, I had the full building plus room to straighten it up. Sometime you just need super wide...

This shows that the Q7 and 08 may be all the wide angle lens you need.

Deep Space

Q7/08 - Handheld... Piazza San Marco, Venice.
On average, throughout the year, 40,000 tourists visit each day...

Cheers... M

Another beautiful picture. It almost looks like a renaissance painting You must have been on the external balcony where they used to have the bronze horses. Happy memories.

Dunno why this second failed to appear above. It's on Flickr and is a building in Ljubljana, Slovenia taken from across the road with my back to the building on the other side. My wife had a 24mm lens on her Alpha 6000 and couldn't get the full building in - with the 08, I had the full building plus room to straighten it up later at home with GIMP. Sometime you just need super wide...

Flower

Orchid like flower near Arizona resort. I doubt if it would have been any nicer from the K3 and DA15.
