Neville, a great shot of the moon and good luck with your Bigma, I battle a bit and need to up my technique however for a start I have recently purchased a solid tripod so I am hoping that will help.

A few shots with the Sigma 50-500 at 450mm. Due to the low light I shot wide open at f6.3 something I almost never do. Shots are uncropped and actual size.

Another Bigma shot at 500mm, luckily there was plenty of light that day. F9 1/1000s ISO500.
Gothca!

This guy was looking a little on the ragged side. 500mm f8 1/800s ISO800

It is a good thing we have no shortage of Robins around here, 450mm f9 1/400s ISO1000
Being watched.

Came upon a local at the trail I was on the other night. A setting sun and very low light, the Bigma does not like.

A couple of Bigma shots from the same trail as the doe above.

American Goldfinch

I've not sure if this a female or non breeding male. They were flying together so I decided on female.
