Hi all,

I've got a 50-500 f/4-6.3 APO (NON OS) on it's way to me from Japan. I won an eBay auction on uit.. As I have a K-1 I didn't think I'd need the version with OS. What's the difference between the two aside from the optical stabilization and slighter larger aperture? Is the image quality the same? Will be be disappointed in this lens and wish I'd spent 3x the money for the 4.3 OS version?

A few years back I owned a Bigma... very nice lens and I may eventually have to get one for my k-1.

I finally had a chance to take out my Bigma and fool around with it.

A water dropping helicopter fighting a brush fire near my house.
