Chris,

When you talk about the SR I assume you are referring to the shutter release?? If so can you say more? I have had problems with my K3 and my DA*300 with or without the 1.4tc and having no response to my pushing on the SR... just nothing! It seems to be random but more likely on cloudy, grey days. Also have the same problem ALL the time with my DA*50-135 to the point that it almost never fires. I've just assumed that the problem is with the DA* focusing mechanism as it also happens on bright sunny days. I'm worried about spending a ton of money on the DA 560 and also having focusing/SR issues....
Thanks, Bob
Bob, no, your issue is not something I recognize. It sounds like a faultering shutter release button. I was referring to the in-body shake reduction mechanism.

Thanks Chris, I looked through my manual for "SR"... (I'm still learning my digital SLR) I suppose that I could have a shutter release problem. Hadn't thought about that. I've assumed that it has been my DA* lenses focusing mechanisms or the relationship between the camera and the lens. Whenever the Ricoh repair facility returns my DA*50-135 I may have the problem identified... In any event my major concern is the DA560 as I intend to purchase it or the Sigma 500 this Spring (or earlier if there's a sale) and I want to make the best purchase. You've sure posted some VERY sharp picture taken with the DA560 so thanks for that.

These are great! Especially like the first one, coming in for a landing and parting the waters. Glad you're enjoying your lens.

These are all great to me and sooo sharp! Doesn't look like there is any problem with the 560 not focusing fast enough. ;-)

Thanks. I have to say that there was enough light which made it much easier.

I guess I should be cross posting some photo's here since the 560 has now become my walk around lens. I love that in the "dead" of a Vancouver winter, we still get hummingbirds.

Beautiful Hummer shot and YES! you are very lucky to have hummers in the winter and we"re lucky to have you using a 560 as a daily carry around lens! ;-)

Nice, Kameko. We sure are lucky to keep some hummers all year!

Alan, your shots are simply stunning! The bird on the post seems three dimensional. Just amazing. Couldn't you post one or two really lousy shots to give us some hope? ...... ;-)
