Industrial plant of some kind across the widest part of the Potomac River in Maryland, just N. of where it joins the Chesapeake Bay. Taken from beautiful downtown Potomac Beach, VA. (principal business: Wilkerson's Seafood Restaurant).

Super Wolf Blood Moon

This is an eclipsed moon, Jan 20 2019. How often can you see stars and the full moon at the same time?

Are you still not seeing it? I can't make it be missing, even if I view this page with someone else's computer, with no Flickr login.

I'm not seeing the photo either, and when I click on the link I get the Flickr login page.

The DA560 is a great lens that leaves you plenty room (IQwise) for playing. Here is a shot of an owl on a roof at quite a long distance ~70m. It was shot on my K1 with the 1.4X and 1.7X TCs on a sturdy tripod just before sunset. Settings: 1333mm, f16, 1/125, ISO400.

PS: I think that using MS Picture Manager to resize the image to fit the PF dimensions downgraded the IQ.

Wow, pretty amazing that with multi-TC's and slow shutter speed you were able to get a usable image

Thank you luftfluss! I guess I was lucky too in the whole process but I had about 10’ that the owl was sitting on that spot and took some nice pictures! I can give you more details if anyone is interested. Anyway, I can say with confidence that give me a nice relatively stationary subject/task my K-1 and a good tripod and I can make some very nice pictures no matter the conditions or the light!

I'd certainly like the details...

I'm curious if you have compared using a remote shutter vs no remote shutter, when shooting at 1333mm.
