GBH with the K-1 and D FA 150-450, 1/1000 @ f/8, ISO 1600.

Beautiful images! You're exploiting the DFA 150-450 from your first days!

Another test shot of the dog. I promise to get some wilder life soon :-)

By gum it's sharp wide open at 450!

K1 and 150-450. I used a monopod as I watched them close to an hour.

I found some wilder life. Nothing exotic though. Solid crop.

XPosted from the K-1 Forum:

A rather long sequence of shots, but it's not my fault, I blame the K-1 and DFA for giving me so many keepers.

These are all sequential, with 1 dropped frame that was because the eye was OOF, but the AF still tracked the main subject.
The Pelican went from crossing my path to flying away from me, and the AF seemed to keep pace fine.

Probably not the best photo artistry wise, but one of my favorites just because of the action of him skidding in on his webbed feet and opening his beak sideways to get the best angle to scoop up fish at just the moment before he goes in.

Thanks wtlwdwgn! I've said it before and I'll say again, the K1 and DFA combo are almost like cheating. Really enjoying these.

Xpost from K-1 thread:

Another flip and swallow, only this time a shrimp instead of a fish. The grass flats have been a bounty for the egrets this day.

Down the hatch... all those pointy bits don't seem to slow it down, they must have a PVC esophagus.
